Well after many missed Nuggets games, especially the one that destroyed the New Orleans Hornets by 58 points and made NBA history (still mad about that), I decided to find a way to watch the boys play besides the times that they were on the local channels and not have to pay for expensive satellite TV.

After about a month of constantly searching I figured out a way to do it, a very cheap and inexpensive way to do it, in fact, instead of paying the ridiculous monthly satellite TV payments every month to DirectTV or Dish Network, I paid a one time fee for lifetime access to being able to watch my beloved Nuggets whenever they play with satellite TV on my PC.

I don't know how computer savvy you may be, but even if you aren't it doesn't even matter because the only real computer knowledge you need is how to download and if you know how to do that (which anyone with an iPod does) downloading satellite TV on you PC software will be no problem for you.

This software isn't limited to watching the Denver Nuggets or any other sports that you might watch like the NFL, NHL, MLB or international football (soccer), you can also watch anything that is on satellite TV like TV shows and movies. This is a 100% legal, no spy ware or ad ware and it will work anywhere in the world. I use it so much now that I don't even watch television anymore, I can do anything I want online, awesome feeling and very, very cost effective.

Nuggets Take Game One Over Mavs in Convincing Fashion

Once again, in convincing fashion, the Denver Nuggets have won yet another playoff game to start off their second round series with the visiting Dallas Mavericks.

It was a close contest in the first half with the Mavs not even close to backing down the Nuggets physical play, but in the second half Carmelo Anthony and company began to take control.

Dirk Nowitzki may have had 28 points and was smoking hot shooting the basketball going 12 for 22 from the floor including four three pointers, but the Mavs just couldn't hang with the Melo and the Nuggets supporting cast. Five Denver Nuggets players scored in double figures, three of which were players off the bench.

The Nuggets have the superstars in Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony, but it has been the play of the Denver bench that have made them so hard to beat in the playoffs so far.

The consistent production of J.R. Smith, Anthony Carter and Chris "The Birdman" Anderson has been huge for the Nuggets in the postseason thus far. Birdman brings the defensive presence in the paint (six blocks in game one), Smith is a huge three point threat and Carter is the ideal backup for Billups at the point. Things just seem to be all coming together at the right time for the red hot Nuggets right now!

Although the bench play was big for the Nuggets on Sunday, the Denver starters also came to play. Billups struggle in game one with only six points and six assists, but Nene and Melo picked up the slack with a combined 47 points.

The big story was the dominance of Nene inside though as the international import scored 24 points and dished out five assists which caused some match up problems for the Mavs.

The one thing the Nuggets can take away from game one was the team chemistry. Their team chemistry was awesome down the stretch and was ultimately what put them over the top in game one. Everyone was playing as a unit, the jumpshots got a little out of control in the first half, but they came together as a team in the second half and got the win 109-95.

Nuggets Advance to Round Two of the Playoffs

It took a lot of disappointing first round exits, but the Denver Nuggets have finally advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs after a dominant performance over Chris Paul's New Orleans Hornets.

Coming into their first round series with the Hornets I really didn't know if the Nuggets were for real. Yes, the locked up the second seed. Yes, they have been playing well on both sides of the floor instead of just trying to out score everyone, but they had yet to prove they could do it in the playoffs.

I am convinced! This team is for real and I believe they will go all the way to the Western conference finals to face the Los Angeles Lakers. Will the make it to the NBA finals? Remains to be seen, but I definitely think they will make easy work of their next opponents in the Dallas Mavericks.

There has been no bigger trade or acquisition in the Denver Nuggets franchise history than getting Chauncey Billups.

The Nuggets had no sense of identity before Billups came to town. Denver was full of very talented players from Kenyon Martin, Carmelo Anthony to Allen Iverson, but they couldn't play defense and had no player that wanted to step up and be the leader.

Oh how things have changed! The Nuggets had the best record in their team's history, earned the second seed in the West and are on to the second round!

Dallas Mavericks beware because the Nuggets as good as they come in the West right now!

Nuggets Get Past Chris Paul and Company

Even though the New Orleans Hornets were shorthanded without center and defensive specialist Tyson Chandler because of a one game suspension, Chris Paul and his Hornets still put up a good fight against the Nuggets Saturday in Denver.

As usual, Chris Paul was near unstoppable as he torched the Denver defense for 30 points while dishing a game high 11 assists, but the Nuggets did get the better of him a few times forcing the point guard to turn the ball over 7 times.

Although Paul had a good night, the Nuggets were able to keep the game close and bring it down to the wire, but just like a few nights ago when Carmelo Anthony hit the game winning shot against the Oklahoma City Thunder he came through once again hitting a layup in the final minutes to put the Nuggets up for good.

Chauncey Billups didn't have a great night shooting the basketball by only hitting 2 of 9 from the floor, but he made up for it by getting to the line and making a perfect 9 for 9 at the charity stripe.

Carmelo Anthony finished the game with a team high 22 points. There has been a debate as of late on whether or not Melo is an All Star because he isn't receiving the votes as he usually does, but after seeing the performances he has put up this season I believe this might be the best season yet for Anthony and not being an All Star come February would be a crime.

Billups and Anthony Knock Off Spurs to Keep Winning Streak Alive

One of the most dominant teams over the past decade, the San Antonio Spurs have been a tough match up for any team with the big fundamental Tim Duncan, speedy Tony Parker and sixth man scoring machine Manu Ginobili.

Usually the Spurs are expected to win on a nightly basis with their great team chemistry, veteran leadership and the multiple championship banners hanging from the rafters, but this season times seem to be changing in San Antonio.

Since Chauncey Billups came to Denver, the Nuggets have done nothing but improve with every passing game. Billups has brought some much needed structure to a Nuggets offense that was trying to just outscored every opponent and pay no mind to the defensive end of the floor.

Although the Spurs have struggled early because of injuries to Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, a win over San Antonio speaks volumes for any team. No matter who the Spurs put on the floor, they will always have a good chance to win and will never go out without a fight.

In the eighth game for Billups since the big trade, the Nuggets have lost only once to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well, Denver had no intention in breaking up there winning streak of 3 games and that they didn't as they beat the Spurs and held Tim Duncan to only 12 points.

Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony were the stars of the show as they both consistently hit big shots and kept the Spurs from making a comeback. Anthony finished the game by filling up the stat sheet as he scored 21 points, dished 7 assists and ripped down 9 boards. Billups lead all scorers will 22 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Nene also had a notable performance against the San Antonio Spurs with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Keyon Martin added 18 points to go with 7 boards and two steals.

As for the Spurs, they shot a horrible percentage from the floor (38.7%) and just couldn't keep up with the Nuggets. If they don't get Manu and Parker back soon, the Spurs will have there work out for them trying to compete with their division leading Houston Rockets and Chris Paul's New Orleans Hornets.

Needless to say, the Nuggets are smoking hot right now, but they will face another big test as they travel to Los Angeles to face the one loss Lakers in their house.

Nuggets 7-4 and Looking Good With Billups!

When the Allen Iverson trade went down a lot of people were skeptical about Chauncey Billups coming back to town, not that Billups isn't a good player, but would he be able to create some much needed team chemistry for the Nuggets.

It didn't take long for that answer to be a resounding YES! Billups has turned out to be a perfect in Denver and a great compliment to superstar Carmelo Anthony.

Allen Iverson was great, there is no doubting his valuable contributions to the Denver Nuggets in his short time in Colorado, but it has become apparent that this trade was perfect for both the Detroit Pistons and the Nuggets.

Since Chauncey has come to town, the Nuggets have won all but one game in the Billups era in Denver. The loss was to a very good Cleveland Cavaliers team which was only lost twice thus far this season. Besides the loss, the Nuggets have played some great team basketball which has a lot to do with the addition of a pass first point guard like Billups and losing a shot first point/shooting guard like Allen Iverson.

As of right now the Nuggets are tied with the Utah Jazz for first in the Northwest division which is getting tougher every season with the emergence of the Portland Trailblazers and the consistency of the Utah Jazz. Kevin Durant's Oklamhoma Thunder and Al Jefferson's Minnesota Timberwolves still have a lot of work to do before they can even be a threat in this division, but with both the Jazz and Blazers improving every season the Nuggets will be in tight race coming down the stretch.

As long as Billups keeps the Nuggets playing the way they are and the team chemistry develops as the season progressing, Denver will definitely have a good shot at wrapping up the Northwest division come June.

Beginning of New Era in Denver

The Denver Nuggets tried to start a championship push with Allen Iverson a few seasons ago, but that didn't work out so they shipped him to Detroit in exchange of a proven winner in point guard Chauncey Billups.

Although I got a lot of love for Allen Iverson, trading him for Chauncey Billups was definitely a move in the right direction in George Karl's campaign to bring a championship to Denver.

When trying to build a championship caliber basketball team, there few pieces that are absolutely vital, but none more than a true leader. Chauncey Billups may not be a prolific scorer like Iverson, but his leadership and role in the Detroit Pistons 6 straight East conference finals appearance and NBA championship in 2004 are undeniable.

Over the years in the NBA we have been witness to some unforgettable leaders that have played the point guard position to perfection. The first name that comes to mind is the Lakers legend Magic Johnson. As perhaps the best floor general ever to play the game, Magic could literally do anything on the hardwood. He could score when you needed him to score, he always got his teammates involved and was quite possibly the most successful point guards in NBA history with his 5 NBA championship rings. Billups may not be in Magic's league, but these two NBA greats play the position exactly the way it should be played and have the rings to prove it.

The point of the point guard position is the be a coach on the floor and direct the offense. Chauncey Billups is the very definition of the point guard. There is no place on the floor that can't shoot from, his decision making is excellent and his unique ability to put his team on his back and lead them to victory is legendary.

Allen Iverson may be one of the best players ever to play this game that we love, but Chauncey Billups is an absolutely perfect fit for this Denver Nuggets team full of talent that just needs some guidance and leadership which Billups brings every single night!

Denver Nuggets Trade Allen Iverson to Detroit Pistons for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess

It only took three games into the 2008-2009 NBA season which resulted in a 1-2 record, but that was enough for George Karl and the Denver Nuggets to make the decision to trade superstar guard Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons.

When Iverson was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Denver Nuggets a couple seasons ago, the combination of Carmelo Anthony and the Answer got everyone in Denver thinking NBA championship, but after only a few seasons in Denver with early playoff exits, the Nuggets believe that Iverson is no longer the Answer.

Reportedly, the Denver Nuggets have agreed in principle with the Detroit Pistons to trade Allen Iverson in exchange for point guard Chauncey Billups, power forward Antonio McDyess and center Cheikh Samb.

Once I heard this trade was about to happen, I was pretty disappointed because AI is one of my favorite players and has been ever since he played with Georgetown in college, but when you look at what Chauncey Billups brings to the table, the scale definitely weighs in Denver's favor.

Billups is a coaches dream possessing everything a coach would want in a point guard. He has proven he is a born leader in his time with the Pistons as he lead his team to a championship in 2004, where he was the NBA finals MVP, and 5 straight East Conference Finals appearances. Not only does Chauncey has the leadership skills that the Nuggets have been missing, but he also brings a solid defensive presence and the ability to excel in clutch situations earning the nickname Mr. Big Shot.

Not saying that Iverson will not be missed, but getting Chauncey Billups in return is definitely an improvement for the Denver Nuggets. As for Antonio McDyess, who was a Nugget for 6 years, the Nuggets will probably buyout the forward's contract and McDyess will most likely return to Detroit.

Nuggets Lose Home Opener Thanks to Kobe Bryant

He wasn't named last season's NBA MVP for nothing and he definitely showed that down the stretch against the Nuggets in Denver's home opener as Kobe Bryant torched Allen Iverson and the Nuggets for 33 points.

When you hear that Kobe Bryant scored 33 points normally it isn't anything to get excited about as he seems to do that on a nightly basis, but the amazing part about this scoring performance was that he scored 14 of those points in the fourth quarter to get the Lakers their third win in a row to start the season.

The only positive for the Nuggets coming out of this game is that they have been the only team out of three that have actually been able to give the Los Angeles Lakers a run for their money.

It is not like the Denver was never in the game like the last two opponents of the Lakers (Blazers, Clippers), but they failed to close the deal after being ahead in the fourth quarter. One of the major reasons for the Nuggets struggling to close out the Lakers, despite Kobe Bryant late game surge, was Carmelo Anthony not a having a great game at all coming off his two game suspension.

Melo went a pitiful 5 of 15 from the floor scoring only 13 points and finishing the game with 5 turnovers. The only real bright spot for the Nuggets was point guard Anthony Carter scored 20 points on only 8 of 9 shooting, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

As for the rest of the Nuggets, Allen Iverson had a very unimpressive performance with only 13 points and 4 turnovers, but hit did dish out 7 assists. Keyon Martin had a decent game on the offensive end scoring 18 points, but left the game with what looked like a hamstring injury after a monster dunk.

Hopefully this a good learning experience for the Nuggets. They need to close out games like this, a win over the Lakers at home would have been huge, but they just couldn't stop Kobe down the stretch.

Deron Williams and Matt Harpring Will Miss Season Opener Against Nuggets

Even though the Nuggets will not have Carmelo Anthony (suspension) in the lineup against the Utah Jazz, point guard Deron Williams (ankle) and small forward Matt Harpring (infection) will not suit up for the season opener for the Jazz.

Obvious the big name here is Deron Williams will be miss the game due to an ankle injury he suffered during the preseason. Without Williams running the point the Jazz will probably struggle to get things going against the Nuggets. Conversely, Denver will have to look to Allen Iverson to shoulder most of the scoring for the Nuggets.

With all-star point guard Williams looking on from the bench, the Nuggets will definitely have the advantage in the season opener as long as they can contain power forward Carlos Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko.

Carmelo Anthony Serving Two Game Suspension for DUI

Carmelo Anthony will only be out for the first two games of the 2008-2009 NBA season, so there is no need for panic, but the Nuggets schedule is pretty tough to start the season so Carmelo Anthony will be missed to start the season.

Luckily for the Nuggets, the Jazz all star point guard Deron Williams will hopefully be out for this matchup as well with an ankle injury, but without Carmelo Anthony in the lineup for Denver, Allen Iverson will have to take the scoring load and try and lead his Nuggets to victory.

Game two of Anthony's suspension will be against Baron Davis and the new look Los Angeles Clippers. On paper, the Clipps look pretty good with Davis running the point and veterans like ex-Nuggets center Marcus Camby, Tim Thomas, Cutino Mobley and Chris Kaman leading the squad. Not to mention their talented young core of players including rookie Eric Gordon and Al Thorton.

Fortunately for the Nuggets, Anthony will be back on the floor to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in Denver on November 1st.

The start of this season could turn out one of two ways, very successful, getting wins over teams like Utah and one or both Los Angeles teams or disappointing as they try to like their wounds after getting beat by very talented Western Conference opponents.

All and all, the first few games of the seasons will be fun to watch for all Nuggets fans!

Nuggets Cut Down Roster to 14 Players

Well, at the end of every preseason, it has to be done. The Denver Nuggets have cut the needed players to start the 2008-2009 NBA season.

Two journeymen guards and three forwards weren't able to make the cut on the Denver Nuggets roster this season, some of which have struggled to stay on a team in the NBA during their entire professional basketball career.

Here are the players that coach George Karl felt needed to be sent packing:

Former NCAA champion in 2000 in Michigan State's Mateen Cleaves. Ex-Lakers point guard who has been in nothing but trouble since leaving Los Angeles in point guard Smush Parker. Forwards Nick Fazekas, James Mays and supposed Kobe-stopper Ruben Patterson.

As you can see, these five that got cut weren't exactly all stars. Patterson was probably the only one that could have contributed, but he wouldn't have gotten much playing time behind Carmelo Anthony and the seven other forwards on the squad.
